
As the Executive Director of the Germantown Legends, Ted Bartels combines elite collegiate coaching experience with a background of military excellence to lead the club’s strategic vision. A Memphis native and Briarcrest Christian alumnus, Ted earned All-State honors before winning two conference championships at Winthrop University. Since 2018, he has been a driving force behind the University of Memphis Women’s Soccer program’s national rise, contributing to multiple Top 25 rankings and two NCAA Sweet Sixteen appearances. His leadership has been recognized as part of the Regional Coaching Staff of the Year for four consecutive years (2022–2024). A United States Air Force Veteran and Honor Graduate, Ted holds an NSCAA Premier Diploma. As Executive Director, he applies th discipline and high-performance standards of the NCAA Division I and military environments to ensure the Germantown Legends remain the premier destination for player development in the Mid-South.
