Rachel Shepard brings over 20 years of elite playing experience and a specialized coaching background to her dual role as the Director of Goalkeeping and Director of Communications for the Germantown Legends. A former goalkeeper for the University of Memphis, Rachel was a member of 3 AAC Conference Championship teams resulting in three NCAA Tournament appearances, earning multiple AAC Goalkeeper of the Week honors. Her playing career also includes ODP Region III Team selection and five total state championships across the club and high school levels. Currently working toward her USSF National D License, Rachel holds United Soccer Coaches Level 1 and 2 Goalkeeping Diplomas and is furthering her expertise through The Keeper Institute, learning directly from former USWNT Olympian Jill Loyden to provide our goalkeepers with world-class technical and tactical instruction.
